Share Tools and Save Money

December 22, 2011

I know someone who has a whole shop full of woodworking tools, but I could probably count on one hand the number of times he’s used them in the past year. Yet, I bet if you asked him if he needed another tool, he would say yes.

He and many others could save a lot of money just by sharing tools for their occasional projects. It’s unlikely that they would be needing them at the same time given their limited use. Not only could they save money, but they could save storage space as well. In fact, if you and a friend or relative are both in the market for some new tools, you could agree beforehand which ones each was going to buy, and then agree to share them.
